The Emperor Norton Ceili Band is available for your Irish dance band needs in San Francisco! We play traditional Irish music in the style of the great Irish dance bands of the 1920s to the 1950s. (Our influences include Joe Cooley, Kevin Keegan, the Kilfenora Ceili Band and Tulla Ceili Band.)

Instruments include banjo, accordion, Irish flute, and concertina, with piano accompaniment. The band normally includes four to six players, but if you are looking for more, we have plenty of friends.

We are available for parties, dances, concerts, pubs, and other events, indoor and outdoor, and can provide a ceili dance instructor or step dance performers upon request. We are especially suitable for school programs on the history of Irish music and dance, and band members have experience with such programs.
